Merriam-Webster describes love as a noun and verb, encompassing affection, desire, and tenderness. However, true, enduring love is a profound force that transcends these definitions. The Biblical Definition: In 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, the Bible offers a timeless definition of love: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” This definition, known as Agape love, reflects an unconditional and steadfast love that goes beyond fleeting feelings. Agape Love: Agape love is the foundation for miracles. It calls us to extend unconditional love to ourselves and others, irrespective of circumstances.
